Option One: Divemaster Intern TraineeshipThis program can take as little as 6 weeks full time or around 3-4 months on a part time basis on weekends. Module 1 is as follows...
This program may commence on a part time basis at any time and programs can be scheduled to fit your individual timetables. You would simply join the next advanced program (see our Yearly Planner) that suited your schedule. Full time divemaster traineeships run over 6 to 8 weeks (and normally include some non contact study days). Not included...Scuba equipment is not included and it is expected that RAD Divemasters will invest in their own good quality dive equipment as opposed to hiring. It makes sense to be training in the equipment you will be diving in. Trainees can either receive a generous discount to purchase their own dive gear or hire for the duration at $295 for all courses. A PADI Crew Pack is included with the Advanced, Rescue Diver program and Divemaster programs. Some Additional materials are not included. (See your training coordinator for more information). Also required...A dive medical clearance (AS2299 medical), PADI Membership on completion of your program and as no insurance cover is available during your training we recommend you investigate a personal accident policy. For all non Australian citizens it is mandatory to obtain DAN evacuation Insurance. Please note...Your commitment to this career program should be given careful consideration. Limited numbers of candidates are selected as trainees, as we have a maximum of 6 trainees beginning at any one time. Remote Area Dive's goal is to create a small pool of highly trained dive crew for later selection as full time staff members for our boat and dive centre. As with most tertiary institutions, the program is not designed to allow candidates to drop in and out of the traineeship midway through a module. Price:$2985 less trainee discount ... $2535 (save $225 & a $225 store credit) |
