Crystal clear waters
Located in the Oro Province on the NE side of Papau New Guinea, Tufi boasts one of the best diving locations you could ask for! Surrounded by lush rainforest, its crystal clear waters invite you to explore a miriad of underwater landscapes. From coral outcrops and shelves, to sandy cays and deep fjords, there's something to suit every diver. Given the topography both above and below the water.. you could call this place Adventure Central.
Diving
The saying "more fish than water" is a common phrase in these parts, with coral outcrops supporting an abundance of marine life. Tufi's clear, calm and protected water is perfect for macro and muck diving. Think nudibranchs, ghost pipe fish and pigmy seahorses and that's just a start!
But it's not only the little critters that you are likely to encounter. Pelagic schools of tuna, Spanish mackerel, barracuda, black and white tip reef sharks, hammerheads and the rare white hammerheads also call Tufi home and it's not uncommon to see them cruising by. Throw turtles, eagle rays and manta rays into the mix and you won't know where to look!
With a multitude of dive sites all within stones throw of the resort, there'll be something to suit everyone.
